People Suck!

Seriously what is with some people?? So while here in Korea, my sister received an email from a friend that was watching her house saying that it had been broken in to...again! This happened awhile back and the landlord had said they would put in security but they never did. Apparently only some dvds of her roommates were stolen but they did take the time to to trash her roommate's room as well. How lame! Seriously, why do people need to do that?? Luckily she's only going to be living there for a month or so before she goes off to grad school but still. People need to get a life.

Fun times in Korea!

So Susan and Alyssa have been here since Wednesday now and it's been a blast! So far we've been to a bunch of fun places, some that I'd been to before and others that were new to me too! By far the craziest has been the trip to the beach that Adam decided to take us on. Mr, "oh it's like an hour away." Three hours later we were at the beach! LOL Next time I'll be sure to double check the scale on the map...Now for some pictures!

Alyssa and I at Gyeongbokgung Palace.

That's all I've got for the moment - I'll be back later with some more fun stuff about what we've been up to!

Today's Post: Part 2

I said I'd be back didn't I? Two posts in one day - I'm on a roll! Ok so I have a bunch of exciting news so I'll try and break it up so it's easier to read.

Ok first off, some exciting design news! Two of my favorite designers, Holly McCaig and Amber Clegg have both offered me spots on their creative teams! I got both offers within like a day of eachother and I was so shocked, seriously! Somebody actually likes my designs?? lol For those of you non-scrapping people basically what this mean is I get access to their designs so that I can make awesome scrapping pages that will make other people want to buy their designs. Pretty cool huh? I'm totally excited and flattered that they both chose me.

I also volunteered to help out with the DST newsletter that will be coming out August 1st. I think it's going to be pretty crazy but so far I'm pretty excited about it!

I've now finished 4 weeks of the DNTS contest - only 1 week to go! I'm pretty thrilled with my entries so far (some more than others) but it should be interesting to see how things turn out. I have no idea who will end up winning, I really think it is anyone's ballgame because of the voting system. I'm not going to upload all of the layouts here since I'm like 3 weeks behind but if you'd like to check them out you can see my layouts here. And if you want to check all the entries out, go here.

Now for some non-scrapping stuff! I decided to step down from my position working at the Teen Center on post. I wasn't really happy with the job and I felt that they could probably find someone who would enjoy it a lot more than I did. I'm much more of a do-er, sitting around twiddling my thumbs was just too boring. So although I'm going to be jobless come Thursday, at least I'll be able to do something on the weekends besides work.

*******************************

Speaking of Wednesday...my sisters arrive then! Totally excited that they're coming all the way to Korea to visit. Adam and I even have been preparing for their arrival. Yesterday we went out and bought a shower curtain and bath mat for the other bathroom so that they can take showers. I thought that was pretty nice of us, don't you think? lol But yeah, I don't think it will sink in that they're coming until tthey actually get here. Which reminds me, I should probably work on some ideas of what we're going to do...

Ok that's all I've got for now!

Spoiler Alert!

Ok so Superman Returns was playing on post this weekend so Adam and I decided to check it out. All I have to say is...Superman has a kid???? Totally didn't see that one coming! When the little kid pushed the piano I was like, OMG! lol But yeah overall I thought it was a decent movie - better than I'd expected. When I'd seen the previews I was worried it was going to go the way of King Kong and rely on the graphics to get through. But no, there was actually a love story, woohoo! I did kind of feel like the Lex action sequences were somewhat boring, like they slowed the pace of the whole movie but maybe that's just me. Ok, I've got a bunch more to talk about but it's going to have to wait for a little bit. So tune in next time! LOL Like anyone but me is reading this...

Isn't it pretty?

So I decided to fix up my blog some - 3 columns now, woohoo! Spent most of my time at work doing it so yay! Maybe now that it is even prettier I'll actually write stuff occasionally! Imagine that! Anyway it's late here so I'm off to bed. Lots of stuff has been going on so I'll try and write it all down before too long. But for now - goodnight!
